Dear members, dear friends,

In this message we are going to inform you about the voting in the town counsil of Halle concerning the application to honour the Count in the city; it happened last Wednesday.

Briefly: we got bad news. The majority again refused to honour Felix Count von Luckner! We got 25 No and 18 Yes votes.

The discussion was offending the Count and defaming participants as well as members of our society – shaming!

But let us first thank those politicians who supported the application by bringing it to the council and arguing for this good cause in front of that debate. Among others the political party CDU organised a collection of signatures among the citizens of asking whether they would be for or against honouring the Count. Almost everyone said yes. It is in Halle undoubted, that von Luckner was the right one at the right place to negotiate with the Timberwolf Division and helped that way saving the city from being destroyed. That city refuses to say thanks for that help!

Now we need the helping hand of our members!

Please, take some minutes writing to the newspapers of the town telling your opinion about Count von Luckner hoping that some of the statements will be published. The "officials" in Halle must learn that the world has another opinion than they have. An act of fairness and the adherence of a minimum of human manners being violated by those who refused honouring Felix Count von Luckner. Enclosed you will find the contact data of the newspapers:
